Herbs and spices have been used for an extremely long time. They are widely used today. They also provide not only flavour but a wide range of nutrients and phytochemicals (plant chemicals) that can contribute to better health. As multiculturalism increases, modes Aussies are using an array off herbs and spices from other cultures, as well as beginning to use more native Australian herbs and spices.
