Blog Post
Situation:
You go out for lunch with a group of friends, you order the prawn salad The cafe is very busy and your meal takes a lot longer to come out than everyone else's. The waitress is flustered and rushed due to the busy atmosphere and is rude and unapproachable as a result. When you receive your meal, the prawns seam a little undercooked and have a strong fishy flavour and the salad is wilted and unappealing, you have a few mouthfuls and decide to leave the rest as everyone else on your table has already finished eating and it seams like such a fuss to ask them to re-serve the dish. Later that day you become quite nauseous and feeling sick, you are not sure if it due to the prawns or wether you are just coming down with something.
What would you do, explain why? (100 words)
I would report the possibility of food poisoning to the authorities. If i had eaten all of the meal i possibly would have become very sick. I would have reported because the restaurant obviously were not checking and practicing proper hygiene and cooking standards. So that no one else is at risk from he restaurant, the appropriate thing ro do would be to report so that it doesn't happen again. It could have been from something else, but it would be best to check. The meal was inedible, so I would try to get my money back too.

- Ask for a redress when paying the bill for lunch: The meal was inedible and you shouldn't have to pay for it
- Pay the bill: you don't want to cause a fuss as the bill is split between a large group of people
- Report the possibility of food poisoning to the authorities: If you had eaten all of the meal you possibly would have become very ill.
- Do nothing: these things happen sometimes
